As the 47th presidency starts, it's clear that America is under seige.

Republicans largely claim the the problem is institutional rot and that America has become an over-regulated behemoth that must be trimmed down to size. Democrats of course focus on the president himself, a persistent annoyance that somehow clawed back the office he nearly destroyed.

Arguably, the truth lies somewhere in between, or non-existent from those arguments entirely. The articles presented following will explore the current crises that seemingly appear on a daily basis, with an eye towards explaining some of the deeper causes and risks that hide beneath the surface of the presidency.
